Much of what I bring to the conversation at the Confidence Retreat is my joy and full presence as we all share our life experiences, our stories, fears and desires as we give voice to ideas and desires to move forward in our lives. I have been listening closely to women for about 20 years.

During my corporate career, I took note of how and when women chose to speak or to remain silent and it fascinated me enough to sustain my doctoral education and dissertation. Listening to how women use their voices still holds me in its powerful grip and so working with women in a retreat setting is my heart’s work.

Often, what is at play for women and impacting their choices to speak authentically and with feeling is how they navigate relationships. Therefore, my mission is to bring the power of voice and relational intelligence to individuals and the workplace.

As a consultant, I seek to help individuals and organizations develop interpersonal and client relationships which foster growth, strengthen connections and improve personal and organizational performance.

The practical lessons I learned as a psychologist and successful corporate executive combined with a doctorate in human and organizational systems, make me uniquely qualified to accurately assess and effectively improve relational competence.

I have completed extensive research and post doctoral study in Relational-Cultural Theory (with Jean Baker Miller and Judith Jordan at the Stone Center at Wellesley College) and consult and train others to listen to both, the full expression and silence of others. Typically, all of my organizational projects begin on the “frontline” listening to my clients’ consumers. I help my clients to recognize weak connections, disconnections and missed opportunities. This vulnerability becomes the point of strength and new growth for the organization. It opens the door to create innovative programs that increase sales value, build brand, and improve profitability.

I am a global citizen and have worked extensively with different cultures in North America, Europe and Asia Pacific for a variety of U.S. and global corporations.

I am a personal coach, a frequent speaker and author of several published articles.

I co-established “Passion for Leadership: Voice for Change”, a Women’s Leadership Program offered in Taos, New Mexico. Now in its 7th year, this program focuses on recognizing and developing growth-fostering relationships and strengthening the individuals’ ability to implement positive changes within their own organizations and work environments.

I am pleased to be currently working with the community organization, Leadership Pasadena, as the Lead Facilitator and continue to provide new content for their 2009-2010 programs. I am positively challenged by the cultural diversity and competing public agendas which require consummate relational skills and confident voices.

I currently reside in Monrovia, California. I have twice received the Working Women’s Association of Los Angeles “Medal of Excellence” for outstanding contribution to business.
